DUTCH Complete Hormone Testing
A precise hormone map can turn guesswork into a plan. The DUTCH Complete is a dried urine test that captures sex and adrenal hormones, their metabolites, and select organic acid markers to reveal how your body makes, uses, and clears hormones across a typical day. At Peak by MD: Longevity & Aesthetics Club, we use DUTCH data alongside your intake, bloodwork, and in-house precision testing to create a targeted plan for energy, mood, sleep, body composition, libido, skin, and longevity.

Wellness Quiz
- Sex hormones and metabolites: Estrogens, progesterone metabolites, androgens such as DHEA and testosterone with 5-alpha and 5-beta pathways. This adds context you do not get from a single serum value.
- Adrenal hormones: Free and metabolized cortisol and cortisone collected through the day to show total output and diurnal pattern.
- Melatonin output: First-morning urine reflects overnight melatonin production through its primary urinary metabolite.
- Nutritional and oxidative stress indicators: Select organic acids that can flag B-vitamin needs, gut and neurotransmitter metabolites, and 8-OHdG for oxidative stress.
Why It Matters In Functional Care
Hormone symptoms rarely come from a single number. DUTCH shows production, metabolism, and clearance so we can identify patterns such as estrogen dominance with sluggish phase-1 or phase-2 detox, androgen excess driven by high 5-alpha activity, or a flat cortisol rhythm affecting energy, recovery, and sleep. That fuller context lets us match the intervention to the mechanism rather than chasing symptoms.
Who Benefits
- Women with PMS, perimenopausal symptoms, heavy or irregular cycles, or suspected estrogen metabolism issues.
- Men on or considering TRT, or with low energy, low libido, or hair and skin concerns.
- Anyone with stubborn fatigue, sleep disruption, stress intolerance, weight plateaus, or mid-day crashes where standard labs look “normal.”
What We Can Do With The Data
- Cycle-specific care for PMS, perimenopause, PCOS patterns, and post-menopause optimization. We time collections in the mid-luteal phase when applicable to capture peak progesterone.
- TRT and men’s health by evaluating androgen balance and downstream metabolites that relate to energy, mood, skin, and hair.
- Estrogen metabolism support using nutrition, fiber, targeted botanicals, and liver support when 2-OH, 4-OH, and 16-OH pathways are imbalanced.
- Adrenal and sleep optimization by addressing cortisol output and rhythm, and supporting melatonin if the overnight metabolite is low.
- Longevity strategy by integrating oxidative stress and nutrient markers with VO₂ and body composition to improve recovery capacity and metabolic flexibility.
How DUTCH Fits Our Testing Ecosystem
We pair DUTCH with:
- Blood biomarkers for thyroid, insulin sensitivity, lipids, inflammatory tone, and nutrient status.
- PNOĒ RMR and VO₂ testing to quantify metabolism, fuel use, and cardiorespiratory fitness that interact with cortisol and sex hormones.
- Styku 3D body scan to track fat distribution and lean mass.
- GI-MAP or NutrEval-style panels when gut or micronutrient drivers are suspected.
This integrated data guides precise levers for training, nutrition, sleep, stress, peptides, IV nutrients, and hormone therapy when appropriate.
How The Test Works
- Simple at-home collection: Four to five dried urine samples over a 24-hour period. Dried samples are stable for convenient shipping.
- Best timing for cycling women: Mid-luteal window, typically days 19 to 22 of a 28-day cycle, or 5 to 7 days after ovulation for non-28-day cycles. We adjust for longer or shorter cycles.
- Turnaround: Results are typically ready in about a week after the lab receives your kit.
- Review and plan: We interpret your report in context with bloodwork, PNOĒ, Styku, and symptoms to build a targeted treatment path.
Optional Add-Ons We Can Include
- DUTCH Cycle Mapping for full-cycle estrogen and progesterone patterns when a single-day snapshot is not enough.
- Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) for a deeper look at the stress response within the first hour after waking.
What To Expect At Peak by MD
- Pre-test guidance on exact collection timing, meds and supplement considerations, and how to avoid confounders.
- Structured interpretation that connects DUTCH to your goals, symptoms, and lab trends.
- Clear action plan with nutrition, training zones, sleep and stress protocols, and targeted therapeutics such as BHRT or TRT when indicated, peptide or IV support, and evidence-based supplements.
- Follow-through with objective re-testing windows and outcome tracking using Styku, RMR, VO₂, and symptom scores.
Note: DUTCH is an advanced functional assessment and is interpreted in conjunction with history, physical examination, and standard labs. It is not used as a sole diagnostic for disease.
